Executive Committee Nomination Period/Elections 2021

Dear Members,

In accordance with the Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa’s (APUO) Constitution and By-laws, the nomination period for the election of the APUO President and Executive Committee is now open.

Please be advised that the nomination process for the election of the Executive Committee has been adjusted to conform to the new health and safety measures recommended by public health officials and implemented by the University of Ottawa and the APUO.

While past practice called for nomination forms to include signatures by two (2) nominating Members and the signature of the nominee, we recognize Members may not have access to the equipment required to print and scan documents. To accommodate Members, nominations can be filed with the written support of two (2) APUO Members (see below for details).

ELECTION OF THE APUO PRESIDENT

We invite you to submit nominations for the presidency of the APUO. You will find the nomination form here. The nomination form must be accompanied with e-mails from two (2) Members of the APUO in good standing expressing support for the candidate, as well as the consent of the nominee.

The mandate for the upcoming president is for a term of two (2) years, beginning on July 1, 2021.

The position of past president refers to the immediate past president unless that person cannot or will not serve on the Executive Committee, therefore it is not an elected position.

President (2019-2021): Dimitri KARMIS (School of Political Studies)
Past-President (2019-2021)Susan SPRONK (School of International Development and Global Studies)
