CO2 Monitors Available For Members

The APUO is aware that with the return to in-person learning many members are concerned about the adequacy of ventilation in learning spaces across our campus. With this in mind, we are making a limited number of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Monitors available to members to measure indoor air quality and to share the data collected. The gathering of information about CO2 levels in learning spaces can help to both identify if, and when, particular measures need to be taken, and to help the APUO in the making of health and safety recommendations to the Employer about improving ventilation and lowering the risk of airborne infections, including the COVID-19 virus.

The CO2 monitors are just under 3 inches in size and come with an accompanying guide for use. Members wishing to borrow a CO2 monitor to assess the air quality in their lecture rooms, laboratories and/or offices can do so by contacting us at apuo@uottawa.ca.
