Act Now: Take Back Our University

As your Negotiation Team continues conciliation on January 15, 16 and 17, it is more crucial than ever that we amplify our collective voice. The APUO, alongside the University of Ottawa Student Union (UOSU) is launching a letter-writing campaign urging the Board of Governors to address the key priorities the APUO have presented during this round of negotiations — specifically, significantly improving our student-to-faculty/librarian ratio, which is the third worst in Ontario.

This is our moment to act and show our strength. By participating in this campaign, you will help ensure that the Board of Governors understands its role in defending our university’s mission, the urgency of improving support for students and the necessity of providing high quality education and research. Your involvement will make a significant impact on the outcome of our negotiations.

Please take a few minutes to send a letter to the Board of Governors. Let them know why this issue matters and why immediate action is needed. Don’t forget to encourage your colleagues to participate as well!
