Seeking Housemate in Centretown at Lisgar St. and Percy St.
Hello!
I (41/F) am looking for a fellow professional/academic to share a beautiful, modern two-bedroom ground floor apartment with a private patio and yard in downtown Ottawa. Available as early as February 15, 2026 (could be as early as February 1, but I will still be furnishing the apartment at that time). The cross streets are Lisgar St. and Percy St.
This apartment is a pied-à-terre for me, as I will continue to spend weekends and some weekdays at my main apartment in Aylmer. I will be occupying the smaller of the two bedrooms. Since returning to the office downtown five days a week, the commute has significantly limited my ability to keep up with extracurricular interests and to walk my dog as much as I would like.
When I am away, my housemate is welcome to treat my room as a guest bedroom! 
I am hoping to find a working professional who is comfortable living (M-F) with a very quiet, respectful, and sweet dog (Cheongsu, a Lab–Jindo mix). Those who work from home some or all of the time are especially encouraged to inquire, as it would be wonderful for Cheongsu not to be home alone as much as he currently is. He has a remarkable sense of personal space and will not disturb you while you work. However, I know he enjoys having someone around!
I keep a very clean and tidy home (yes, even with a dog!) and am happy to share photos of my place in Aylmer as an example of my standards. I am looking for a housemate with similar expectations regarding cleanliness and care of shared spaces.

Rent Amount: $1,500/month, all inclusive (utilities, Internet, use of all appliances and furnishings).
Duration of Stay: Ideally, I would like to rent to someone who can stay at least through May 2026, but would be open to a shorter stay. I would ask for 60-days notice prior to moving out.
Smoking Policy: Only non-smokers may inquire. 
Pets: It may be possible to have another dog in the apartment. 
Parking: Street permit parking can be purchased from the city, but there is no parking on site. That said, for loading/unloading purposes, it is possible to drive right up to the front door of the unit via a paved driveway that runs alongside the building!

I am a University of Ottawa–affiliated faculty member seeking a quiet, furnished place near the University of Ottawa for a short- to medium-term stay, ideally February through August (dates flexible).
I work independently, keep regular hours, and value clear terms, predictability, and mutual respect. I am a single adult, non-smoker, no pets, and a low-impact tenant, well suited to sabbatical or visiting-faculty housing.
